The Body As A Closure

This series forms one part of my graduating honours body of work.  

An excerpt from my Honours thesis;

"Body as a Closure consists of five wearable container forms that are able to hold items within the container on the body. The body in this instance becomes the ‘closure’ of the container, as the container is strapped to the body it is closed, containing the items safely inside. When the container is removed from the body so too is the closure, revealing the contents. The use of the body, as a closure of the wearable containers, develops an even closer and more intimate association between the wearer and the object. The personal nature of the closure suggests the contents, if any, are only known by the wearer. "
