Most furniture designers I’ve met seem to have one particular career dream in common. They want to design one good chair. As a silversmith, my dream has always been to make a teapot.
I think of a makers’ mark as quite a personal thing, after all it is what lets others identify that piece as yours for years to come. Often they become quite iconic and instantly recognisable.
